Sam Skirrow.

UK Electric Bass and Bass Synth player.

Twenty seven years old and bought up mainly on a diet of Soul music, Sam’s bass playing has matured under the mentoring of gospel bassist John Thompson, Janek Gwizdala and Berklee Tutor Oscar Stagnaro.

Sam, based in London, works full-time as a session bassist, having played on all sorts of stages from arena to small clubs, live TV and national radio for pop artists Chloe Howl, Jordan Morris, Joe McElderry, Raleigh Ritchie, Tyler James, MK1 and 2013 MOBO award winner Lurine Cato amongst others.Sam joined the Gallien Krueger family in 2011 and since has never looked back. Sam’s main touring rig consists of a GK MB800 amp and 2 Neo412 Cabs.

“Out of all the amps I have ever played and owned, Gallien Kruger have without a doubt, nailed every aspect of what a bass player needs from an amp. A simple and transportable interface, but with a seriously powerful and incredibly clear sound. When I play through GK amps, I don’t feel like I have to work at getting a great sound, it makes me feel relaxed with my playing”
